Additional Policies & Procedures


Store Telephone and Team Member Cell Phones: 

Only managers or leaders should answer the phone. Should a team member need to answer the phone, a manager or leader should be informed of any information given and asked to take over the call as soon as possible. Never provide any personal information for yourself or team members over the phone. Never disclose information about the whereabouts of the operator or any leadership.  Simply state “they aren’t here at the moment”, no additional information should be given. 

Team members carrying cell phones is strictly prohibited.   Team members should keep their cell phones locked in a locker in the employee break area, or out of the restaurant all together.   

Smoking Policy: 

Smoking or vaping are not allowed anywhere on Chick-fil-A property, in a Chick-fil-A uniform, or in sight of any guest. This includes adjacent property, near the dumpster yard or anywhere on our property.   Smoking/vaping breaks are not allowed at Chick-fil-A Orland Park.   If you come to work smelling of smoke you may be asked to leave and may be subject to disciplinary action. 

Foul Language: 

Foul Language of any kind is strictly prohibited on Chick-fil-A property, or while in uniform.  Any use of foul language will be immediately enforced.  This will include suspension or termination immediately and may be subject to disciplinary action. 

Social Media Policy: 

Chick-fil-A at Orland Park guidelines for social media and online content by its employees are in place to protect our brand, and also our team members. As team members, your responsibility to Chick-fil-A doesn’t end when you are off the clock.  

 

When posting on social media: 

  • Be sure to disclose your affiliation with Chick-fil-A when discussing any company related matters. 

  • Clarify that your thoughts are your own, unless authorized to speak on behalf of the Restaurant. 

  • Do not misrepresent yourself, be honest about who you are in regards to your employment. 

  • All handbook policies and procedures apply when interacting online with employees, guests, and all other personnel. Harassment and discrimination will not be tolerated, as outlined previously in this handbook. 

  • Do not disclose any financial or operational results or plans 

  • Do not share upcoming events or promotions unless directed to by the Operator or Managers. 

  • Do not share personal information about co-workers, customers or any other personnel in connection with Chick-fil-A.
