Pay


Pay and Pay Rates: 

Your pay rate will be explained to you at the time of hire. Team members are eligible for pay increases at various times throughout their employment, and typically related to job performance, responsibility, and continuing training and education as related to your position. Raises are never related to tenure or the time you have been working. Opportunities for additional pay increases will be outlined for you in your employee evaluations. 

Any discussion of your pay rate or any raises with another employee is strictly prohibited, and is grounds for termination. 

Pay Periods: 

The pay period for our Restaurant ends bi-weekly on Saturday.  Employees will receive a paycheck once every two weeks. Your paycheck will be made available to you on the Thursday after the paid period, after 2:00 pm. Paychecks can be picked up with any Front Counter leader, and are always kept in our front safe.  Team members must pick up their own paychecks, and may not have anyone take their paycheck on their behalf, without the approval or a manager and proper identification at the time of pick up. You cannot receive your check in advance of the end of the pay period. You cannot cash your check in the Restaurant.  

Direct deposit is available for any team member with an active checking or savings account in an accredited bank.  Direct deposit forms can be completed and turned in to any manager.  Direct deposit requests must be approved by Chick-fil-A payroll systems and the listed banking institution, and the team member will be alerted if they are not approved for any reason.   

Paychecks issued by direct deposit are generally received by 12:01 am on the Thursday after payroll is submitted.  This time frame may be different for some team members, as some banks allow deposits to be made at various times. 

Overtime Premium Pay: 

  • You will be paid at 1.5 times your regular hourly rate of pay for any time worked over 40 hours in one work week. 

  • For purposes of calculating overtime premium pay under this policy, the work week at our Restaurant begins on Sunday at 12:01 am and ends on Saturday at 12:00 am. In addition, the “workday” is defined as beginning at 12:01 am each day and ending at midnight that evening.
